Bullenbees skin care was formulated by Marie Smith, a wife and mother employed in the medical device industry. For years, Marie has been unimpressed with the results of skin care products from beauty salons, dermatologists, and drug stores.
From Marie: I have common skin care needs many women are familiar with: aging skin, sun spots, uneven skin tone, and occasional breakouts. But I also have some uncommon skin conditions that drove me to find solutions to treat great varieties of skin problems.”
Every time I shaved my legs, I experience full blown razor burn from my thighs to my ankles. I could not find a product to calm or soothe my inflamed, irritated skin.
That was not my only skin issue. As I moved into my 20s and 30s, my facial skin was dry, yet broke out with any moisturizer I used.
My most complicated skin issue drove me to deep study of dermatologic science - in my second pregnancy, I broke out in an itchy red rash from my neck to my ankles. I had pemphigoid gestationis (a rare allergic reaction to my placenta). I could not take any medication, as I did not want to risk any effects to my child. I researched long hours to find natural treatments for my irritated skin, as steroid creams were only partially effective.”
In my career, I have conducted medical research for many years. In my free time, I enjoyed researching the science and clinical trials behind the best skin care nature and science could support. I spent years experimenting with formulations in my kitchen. Soon I found my formulations worked better for all my skin care needs than the numerous creams I purchased from dermatologists and beauty salons. In my formulations, I sought to achieve the healthiest, happiest, youthful skin nature and science could provide. It wasn’t long before I had girlfriends and co-workers asking for supplies of my skin care products.
